Andy will be speaking about Advancements in Integrated Circuit Design for Miniature Implantable Medical Devices. This session will highlight the new generation of miniature implantable medical devices (MIMD) and the various technology advances enabling their innovation. Attendees will also learn various design approaches to successfully capitalize on unique electronics design opportunities. The session will conclude with an examination of a recent real-life MIMD example. Andy’s bio follows along with a summary of when his session will take place. Andy Kelly Bio
Andrew Kelly is an IC/Systems Architect at Cactus Semiconductor Inc. in Chandler, Arizona. Prior to joining Cactus Semiconductor he was a Senior Principal IC Design Engineer at the Medtronic Microelectronics Center in Tempe, Arizona. In his 27 year career, he has defined and designed dozens of Full Custom Mixed-Signal ICs for a wide range of Portable and Implantable Medical Devices such as; Glucose Meters, Hearing Aids, Neuro-Stimulators, Drug Infusion Pumps, Bio Sensors, Orthopedic Sensors, and Cardiac Pacemakers.
